PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST

8" x 10"
Oil on Canvas Panel
This is my painting of; I have no idea, done as part of the DSFDF end of year challenge. What a great Blog for artist to participate in. I have been teaching for the last couple of years and I have recommended to my students they participate in the Different Strokes for different folks Challenges. I think it is a wonderful learning tool no matter what stage you are as an artist. Not to mention how it has grown my artist family, it is so great to have other artist to compare to, bat ideas off of or just help keep you motivated to struggle through an occasional artist block. My Thanks again to Karin Jurick for her efforts on this blog!

This is a great example of how helpful DSFDF is for all of us. I am a very self critical artist as most of us are and I was really beaten myself up about things I could have done to make this better. You know the old why didn’t I see that before I sent it in,,lol. Well it seems they have changed something on Blogger and I had no idea anyone had commented on this painting, only to log into my blog this morning and find an amazing amount of very kind, and supportive comments. We are all very lucky to have had Karin give us this venue in which to support one another. Thanks you all so very much

Makes me want to go paint now!!!
